George Wittman has been working as an artist for eighteen years. His paintings have been exhibited in New York City and East Hampton, NY. Taking inspiration from the Hudson River School, Wittman seeks to connect his contemporary painting with 19th century American tradition. Images from New York's Hudson Valley and Northern California can both be seen in his work. After studying art in Binghamton, NY, George Wittman went on to further develop his painting skills while working as a union scenic artist, where he had the opportunity to work on a variety of large scale projects for Broadway, feature films and the Metropolitan Opera.
